Team led by Dean Men named Tongji graduate team of excellent tutorship

On November 30, 2020, the first appraisal meeting on Tongji graduate team of excellent tutorship was held at Siping Campus, attended by Xu Jianping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji University. Judges included leaders and tutor & graduate representatives from candidate schools, the Publicity Department, the (Graduate) Student Affairs Department, the Teacher Affairs Department, the Youth League Committee, the Graduate School, and the Scientific Research Management Department of the Party Committee. The team “Feng Qing Qi Zheng, Tao Li Man Men” (meaning being clean and upright, havingstudents all over the world) led by Tongji Distinguished Professor Men Honghua, President of the Institute for China & World Studies and Dean of the School of Political Science & International Relations, Tongji University, was awarded the honor.

This selection was an attempt of Tongji to strengthen the ideological and political education of its graduate students. By commending the excellent teams, the university wants to set an example to enhance the awareness of all the graduate tutor teams, give full play to the guidance of tutors, maximize the effectiveness of the tutor teams, and continuously amplify the outcomes of the “Three All-round Education” comprehensive reform.

Led by Professor Men Honghua, and guided by Professor Li Bin, Professor Jin Xin, Professor Zhong Zhenming, and Assistant Professor Liu Xiaoyang, our team focuses on studying international relations theory, strategic theory, comparison of major country strategy, and history of China’s strategy thought. Upholding the idea of “maintaining social commitment, studying the nature of things, practicing earnestly to go further, and seeking harmony in diversity”, the team explores the world, seeks the truth, strives for progress in learning, and keeps summing up experience. It is committed to building a unique, upright, cohesive, and brisk community of excellence.
